What are 'Count-Down Auctions'?
At a normal Auction you bid up the price. At a Count-Down-Auction the price goes dowm automatically at certain time increments - every Sunday at 5:00 PM in our case.
If you are from Holland you are familiar with the flower auctions in Aalsmeer. Since all flowers up for sale have to be sold today, (they sell millions of them every day between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM; flowers form all around the world) the price goes down every few seconds.
Same here - occasionally a parlor has to move. All businesses have these situations - inventory has to be sold to make room for new products, to raise cash, whatever. We may be better off selling a parlor at a loss than carrying it for many more months.
So what motivates you the buyer to make the decision when the price is right?
- May be you have bids from other suppliers for a similar parlor, but all of them for more than you want to pay
- May be you have been looking for this specific model but have never been able to find it
- May be the price has gone so low it's become an unbeatable deal
- You get the idea. But - other buyers are watching the action as well, and they just may pull the trigger one day ahead of you.

Sign it and return it with either a 15% or 35% down payment (has to do with the timing of your project - do you need the parlor right now (35%) or several months into the future? (15%)) and it's yours.
The exact details of the parlor, laid out in a 20 page 'Formal Proposal' are not etched in stone. If you need to make changes - add this, subtract that - we'll work with you within reason.
